Out of surgery


It's Anna again. These are my daughter's toes. The polish is a little worse for wear at the moment - a bit like Annie feels this morning.

The surgery went well. They took her breast and lymph nodes and she will be in hospital for a while as more tests have to be done. But she is in good spirits and is delighted with the rainbow toed encouragement from around the world. (She mentioned that the $2 colours in Target at the moment are really shiny and opaque - get thee to Target!)

She painted her sister's toes while she was waiting yesterday, and even though she had to remove her polish for surgery, that same sister will be repainting them for her today. She thinks they look sad without the colour. I think she's right. And it feels good to do something.

I will be printing out your messages to show her asap.

    Glad she's in relatively good spirits. While she's in hospital she should make use of everything on offer.

    So glad to hear that Annie has come through her surgery well. I just can't stop thinking about you Annie m'dear, and your indomitable spirit is touching so many hearts.

    Rainbow toers of the world unite! Love the idea of a book :D And now I'm going to read all those colourful toe posts appearing in the side bar :D

    Annie, I'm feeling a bit on the weirdy side cropping up here NOW. I popped in because I wanted to see what gave with the rainbow tootsies over at Emma's. And now I've just read the back story. And I just wanted to say that there's this weirdy lady (me) who you've never heard of before, cheering for you LOUDLY, WILDLY and from the very bottom of her heart.

    Have just painted my toes with polish from the local shop and now they are all heating up, is that normal? Maybe in Samoa it is, will photograph and post. Pleased to hear Annie is okay, lots of love.
